O T H E R     Q U O T E S
In 1980 I published my second book.   It is a combination of
psychology and an introduction to metaphysics.  It is called

THE  IMPORTANCE  OF  BEING  HUMAN.  This book is
no longer in print, but it expresses some very beautiful ideas
that I want to share with you.  I think these ideas could be very
helpful to you in creating your Life as you prefer it to be.
                                          See what you think.

1)   "People who act violently are on a loser trip.  They are trying to run away from their lack of
self-esteem, lack of responsibility and lack of power.  They are trying to run away from their
damaged relationship with themselves.  This running from self is impossible.  (p. 158)

2)   "Compassion is an inherent quality of every Human Being.  If we set our Lives up so that we
have been abused, so the grace of our Being is hidden from our eyes and our good parts are beaten
into dormancy, then please realize that compassion is so strong a force, so powerful a Human urge,
that we can revive and expand the spark of grace that lives within us and longs to be radiating at our
surface."  (p. 164)

3)  "The nature of physical reality is such that it centers around what I call
The Great Principle Of
Reflectivity.
That is, our world.......is a reflective experience, a living feedback system.  Our world
is bathed in a living energy which is programmed to interact with thought.  Our inner desires are
transformed into objects and events as surely as a tadpole is transformed into a frog."
(p. 56)

4)  "We are all free to establish a policy toward self in which understanding, kindness and
encouragement are the structural supports and harmony and joy are the aesthetics."  (p. 164)

5)  "Billions of people have warped their guts with lack of pleasure, corroded from betrayal of their
insides.  Billions of people have warped their guts with lack of pleasure from inferiority, violence,
non-trust, repressed rage, guilt, fear and intolerance.  Many of these people currently living are dying
for some relief !"  (p. 223 )

6)  "According to metaphysics, our Life is a living movie of our beliefs, emotions and desires
exteriorized, a physical portrait of what we consciously and
unconsciously believe, feel and imagine
about and for ourselves!  Everything "out there" originated "in here".  Thinking is selection........"
(p. 66)

7)   "We are totally immersed in justice and no longer need hassle ourselves by viewing Life as being
hostile to Human health and fun.  There are no victims, there are no accidents; only the power and
freedom to select these experiences."  (p. 225)

8)  "Our shared planetary plague is cruelty."  (p. 165)

9)   "Maturing in responsibility, emotional honesty and love can be a frustrating process at first, but it
is certainly an easier way to live than not maturing!  Our scar tissue is trying to tell us that; are we
ready to listen ?"  (p. 112)

10)   "There is noting to prove, but much to accept."  (p. 155)

11)   "Thus, many children are taught to and continue to reject themselves; sometimes for the rest of
their self-shredding Lives."  (p. 135)

12)   "The old argument about whether the ends justify the means is now settled; because Life is a
process and self-esteem is a continual creation (even beyond death), there are
no  ends; there are
only means.  Thus, The New Age is the continual upliftment of means, whereby we actualize other
means, which become the means to achieve other means of our evolving process, and so on.  Thus,
maturity means using mature means."  (p. 73)

13)   "We have been taught to be victims who victimize ourselves and others."  (p. 93)

14)   "Responsibility equals power, which equals learning, which equals wisdom, which equals
freedom, which equals more options, which equals more effective action, which equals fewer
problems with more solutions, which equals more fun in Life.  Yes, responsibility equals feeling
better...."  (p. 156)

15)   "The Great Principle Of Reflectivity makes no mistakes, but people sure do.  And sometimes
we make the serious spiritual mistake of treating ourselves poorly."  (p. 110)

16)   " (reviewing a Lifetime)...is a time for realizing the gains made in this Lifetime....How much
self-esteem did we cull forth ?  How much love did we create ?  How much joy did we inspire ?  Or
did we trample and shred our own and others' self-esteem ?  Did we fail our test of maturity and
perpetuate violence ?  Did we inspire fear, hate and grief in others ?  And always, the ultimate
question: why ?  Why did we choose to not grow ?  Why did we choose to play victim or persecutor
games ?  Why did we choose to remain so immature ?  Why did we not take responsibility for our
fears, insecurities, angers and own punishments ? Why did we not learn to deal with them honestly ?
Why did we not remove them ?  Why did we cop out so much ?  Why did we betray ourselves so
much ?  Why did we not learn to love ?  Why, why, why ???"  (p. 89)

17)   "The inside is
not  the same as the outside!  What and Who a person is, is not  how  that
person behaves.  How a person expresses his or her essence is not that essence.  We will be much
better off when we stop judging our Who by our
how,  stop judging our essence by our expression."
(p. 28)

18)   "According to metaphysics, we are moment to moment translating our Lives into this sentence:
"Look what I am giving myself now."  Heavy realization:  Earth experience equals:
"Look what I am giving myself now !"  (p. 67)

19)  "Ye might say we meet the pictures in our head with our feet."  (p. 68)

20)  "Pushing down the intense pain we have created is, for billions of us, a full-time job."
p. 32)

21)  "Metaphysics considers time as being no time and all time at the same time.  By that, I mean
time is not a past, present and future; time is a  NOW ; all events are occurring now."  (p. 71)

22)  "We are continually revealing our relationship with ourselves to ourselves !  We are continually
physicalizing our subjective state."  (p. 68)

24)  "We imagine our emotions will hurt us, when actually it is the denial of our emotions which
hurts us !"  (p. 116)

25)  "Our Free Child is the part of us which
knows  and feels the pure joy of Being; it is the part of
us closest to the spark which created us."  (p. 33)
